Use activity logs, workflow runs, and debug output to understand what changed.
Updated June 2026·WPChangeSync 2.0
Activity as the first troubleshooting surface
The plugin tracks sync history, workflow runs, import/export outcomes, and debug information. README guidance points administrators to Activity first when troubleshooting failed imports, exports, or workflow runs.
What gets inspected
Recent sync operations and their status.
Workflow runs and approval states.
Batch job progress and cleanup state.
Sanitized REST import failures.
PHP-level fatal errors where deeper debugging is needed.
Debug flow
Start with Activity, then inspect workflow run details, then check PHP logs if a fatal error or sanitized remote response hides internal details. For remote sync, verify credentials and version compatibility before retrying.

Reference checklist
When a remote import error is sanitized for the caller, inspect the target site Activity screen and PHP logs for detailed diagnostics.
